Until I work out the quality control issues in my knife making process, some knives will hit the Clearance rack whenever there's an imperfection in the handle.
1st place: One carved and finished Layered Chip Carving with your winning pattern, carved by me and shipped* to you.
Troy Nelson
Visualize with me as you look through the openings (black holes) and see the 3-corner chip patterns on the lower layer. I'll be carving this for Troy and sending him the finished carving.
Congratulations!
Both First and Second Place Layered Patterns will be added to the Platinum Member Pattern Archive. A tutorial Video showing how to carve and finish the First Place Pattern will be added to the Video Archive for April.
2nd place: One Layered Project for you to apply a pattern to both pieces, shipped* to you.
Johnna Pokojni
Take a look at Johnna's layered pattern. I like the simplicity of the top layer and how it reveals
a lot of activity on the lower layer. I'm looking forward to seeing
Johnna's finished Layered Chip Carving!
Spring is slowly coming to southern Minnesota. Two inches of wet snow this week sent the normal March message to us that we're not there yet. But those of us who've lived in the upper MIdwest for any length of time know that this is normal even into April.
Have a wonderful week and take some time to make a few chips whether you feel like it or not.
