I looked at both sites and Ed's right. There are a LOT of
patterns on both pages. Rosettes, frames, plates, borders, grids...and on and on.
Enjoy!!
During Tuesday's Platinum Member Webinar, I demonstrated some more uses for Inkscape, the free online vector image editor. This program is available at Inkscape.org. This could be considered Gift #3 all by itself.
But Serge suggested Paint.net as another program that might be helpful. It was designed to replace the normal Paint program on Windows machines, but apparently
came to be a separate tool. It is available for free download here https://www.dotpdn.com/downloads/pdn.html.
Not a replacement for Inkscape, because it is not a vector editor. But definitely better than the pre-loaded Paint program found in Windows. Check it out! Thanks for pointing this out, Serge!
This pattern consists of 4 Rosettes from the Rosette Course set into a grid background. Take the Rosette Course to learn how to
carve the Rosettes and look at the Chip Out Course to avoid any problems when carving the grid pattern. The top and bottom borders are covered, as you'd expect, in the Borders Course.
Upgrade NOW to learn these skills and many more. Let's get the party goin'!!
Carl's Making Use of the Time He Has!
Marty, I am always impressed with the creativity you share with us, coming up with such cool projects. The only thing
is, it makes me want to do them, and I'm time constrained now. But I have done rosette coasters for two of my children, and the grids look really straightforward (I did a simple grid on a name plaque for a friend - name of a song he wrote and recorded), so I attached a pic. I'm looking at that soap dispenser project for my grandchildren.
Hey Carl, Well done. I zoomed in to look at your lettering and noticed a nice smooth dot above the "i" and chatter-free curves throughout. Way to go! Your friend will appreciate this plaque, for sure.
This just in from Vickie! Wow!
"Just finished this for our son-in-law's birthday on Monday. Gel stain little darker than expected but daughter said he will like it."
I think the color looks really good. The extra dark areas still highlight your chip carved rosettes. Nice!
Vickie's been a Platinum Member for a long time and you can tell she's applying what she's been learning!
