Have you ever found yourself searching for a pattern that would be fun to carve? 🤔 You're not alone! Choosing the right pattern can make all the difference in your carving experience and the final piece you'll proudly show off.
When picking patterns, sometimes I like the challenges in the intricate details of a
traditional rosette, or perhaps a bold geometric design. Other times it’s as simple as seeing a pattern and thinking ‘that looks like it would be fun to carve!’
Over the last month I’ve shared several amazing carvings featuring 3D patterns, so I began searching 🕵️ for a 3D pattern for this month’s project. I came across multiple patterns I liked and was having difficulty deciding which one to use until I found the pattern that looked like it would be
fun to carve!
It may not be the most intricate pattern, but I was eager to try it and was not disappointed. It was fun to carve! 😀 Even though the final result looks like there are some curves, it only contains straight 3-corner chips. It’s a great way to focus on the basics and create a nice-looking carving.
I hope you’ll join in on the fun, too, but if it’s not the pattern for you, remember,
carving should always be a joyful experience. So pick a pattern that speaks to you, and let your creativity flow!
