I want to know the unlikely places you see chip carving patterns.
Howdy !
This week, I found myself staring at a paper plate—not for lunch, but for inspiration! As you’ll see in next week’s newsletter, the pattern I plan to carve was sparked by a design I spotted on that very plate. I still need to do a trial run or two to see if the pattern needs any tweaks, but I think it’ll be fun to carve and should look great
when finished.
If I see a pattern that catches my eye, I snap a quick picture and file it away in my Ideas folder. Inspiration can come from anywhere—tissue boxes, wallpaper, flooring, or even a scene in a TV show or movie. It made me curious: in what unlikely places have you found patterns? I’d love to know! Send your stories or photos to troy@mychipcarving.com and I’ll feature some
in an upcoming newsletter.

Wine Glass Holder:
Hearts & Flowers Pattern
The Hearts & Flowers combination is simple and elegant, and would make an excellent wedding or anniversary gift.

I've finally got around to painting some of my recent carvings, and thought I'd share them with you.
I enjoy the carving far more than the painting, but wouldn't change the end result for anything.
Happy carving!
Jon
Painting doesn't go fast, especially as detailed as these! I wouldn't change the outcome, either - absolutely stunning! The consistency of the color is excellent, as is the color combination.
Thanks for sharing!
