The top pattern ended up being too small and intricate. I still may carve it sometime but it would be best to combine some of the really small chips to make them easier to work with.
You'll notice I didn't use the second rosette and replaced it with a tulip pattern. I didn't like the way the pattern looked so I found the free form tulip pattern and realized it could be carved as a positive (background removed) or negative image carving (tulip shape removed).
I settled on the last pattern, overlapped the rosettes and stretched them out to fit the box from end to end. I added a line border and corner designs related to the rosettes to finish off the design.
