It's been a REALLY long time, many years, since we've had a pattern design CONTEST!

, I hope you'll enter. 😀

Here are the CONTEST rules:

One entry per person
Only ONE pattern per entry. If you send multiple patterns, your entry will be removed.
Your pattern design must be for the Napkin Holder. The outline for the Napkin Holder is attached to this email as a jpg and SGP(Pattern Wizard) file.
The size of the Napkin Holder is 5" High x 5.5" Wide
You must Indicate which chips are to be removed. This can be done by shading, a dot in the center, digital coloring, etc.
The pattern does NOT have to be 100% original, because nothing is. Grab, borrow, glean ideas from wherever you like. Nothing is off limits.
Create your pattern any way you like. Hand draw, Pattern Wizard, Inkscape or similar, Amaziograph, etc.
Submit your pattern in jpg, pdf or SGP (Pattern Wizard) format.
Deadline: next Thursday, Aug.5th, midnight, CT.
Email your pattern as an attachment to: Marty@mychipcarving.com (International entries are welcome as long as you agree to pay the extra shipping charge if you win a prize.)

Winners will be announced in next week's E-letter.

They sent me a few copies of the book for me to pass them on to you if you're selected as one of our Contest winners.

Start thinking of ideas and sketching out some patterns. It's good to brainstorm and draw anything that comes to mind. Then you can narrow down your thoughts to those that have the most possibility.
