Here's how I came up with this month's trivet pattern.
Â
Today Shelley and I will be attending a wedding for a friend of our son, Paul, that we've know since she was in junior high school.
Â
It been my custom for a long time to carve a wedding plate as a gift.
Here's the 14" EZboard plate I carved for Crystal and Ronnie.
I pulled the center of the pattern out and used it on the sides. I liked the result and Shelley was thrilled, so I decided to use it on this month's trivet pattern.
What I decided to do differently with this carving is to stain the trivet first, apply the pattern on vinyl mask just like I do when carving EZboard, carve through the mask, paint and peel off the masking.
Â
I carved it today and will paint it this weekend.Â
I think it's going to look remarkable!!Â
Stay tuned
Â
I've added the option to order your own trivet, stained top and vinyl mask pattern included to the Store.Â
Now you can carve your own trivet just like I'm doing.
Order now if you take my word for it that it will be remarkable 😀
Hi – I am Todd. I just completed the CCCI program and have to say it was excellent. I was new to Chip Carving and wanted to learn as well as learn how to teach Chip Carving to others. This is an excellent program that teaches you how to teach others while learning and improving your skills at the same time. CHECK IT OUT. You will not be disappointed. Â
